And since we have such a relatively small number of human genes, scientists have been able to identify those genes that are involved in nearly all diseases. Dr. Ruggiero explains: “We tend to think diseases have nothing to do with each other… never the less, they all share something in common.” That something is 120 different genes.
Interestingly, it’s now known that children with autism have a different and less diverse microbiome than children without autism. Furthermore, we know that those children have problems with all for of the organs mentioned above.
