Day 29. Monday, January 4th.
FINALLY. I’m writing this post real-time! New format! Michael for the win!
8:57am – My first work block for the day is almost done, so I’m gonna’ have to go in a minute… but just wanted to say that Mira’s off today, I knocked out my entire morning routine, sent out a bunch of Megaspore-related emails (we still get several requests for info every day, which is amazing), wrote my post for Day 28, emailed a couple clients, and set up a meeting with Joe and Carl (our web wizard) for later today!
I also had a delicious cup of Mad Monk Tea Shop tea and took some supplements. Almost time for my seconf round of proteolytic enzymes for the day. Should pain be gone! I’m doing 45 minute work blocks (with timer) and 15 minute breaks.
This break, I’m going to take some more enzymes, play tug (his favorite thing) with Marley, make some more tea, and do a few minutes of rebounding! Next work block involves a ton of phone and email chores! Adios for now!
12:16pm – Knocked out another work block, and then a business phone meeting with Joe (cool stuff happening!), and some lunch. The meeting ran long, so Mira was kind enough to heat me up some food to eat as soon as I got off. That allows me to only be about 15-20 minutes behind schedule right now, which is very good for me! Gonna’ take Marley out real quick and then jump into another work block!
Lunch was leftover harissa burgers (beef/pork) w/ caramelized onions, Asian sweet potato, and sauteed kale. (w/ olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and garlic) Good stuff!

Also, I received an email letter back from my biological mother today. (See Day 12 or 13 (I don’t remember) for details on that situation.) She’s very happy to have heard from me, and told me a bunch of stuff about her other kids, family, life, etc… etc… Glad I was able to have given her that for the holidays, but I’m probably going to take/wait a while before responding again. I really don’t have many further ambitions for that situation beyond asking a few more questions at some point.
6:39pm – Knocked out a couple more work blocks… working on our book-keeping from 2015. That’s literally my least favorite thing to do, ever… and same goes for Joe. Therefore, it is a massive project, because it’s something we didn’t pay much attention to for oh… the entire year. So now getting things all caught up, organized, filed, all that type of stuff before we hire a book-keeper (soon!) to manage it on a month to month basis. I’m getting through it by telling myself it’ll be the last time I ever have to do it.
I did get a little distracted and inefficient during these afternoon work blocks… partially because that’s the time of day I generally have the most difficulty remaining focused, and partially because of the task I was doing – which is my least favorite thing. I’m going to work on re-framing how I look at book-keeping (into something that will be helpful and essential for business growth!) from here on out and stop allowing it to steal my mojo!
Around 3:30 Carl gave Joe and I a walk through of the new site rebuild, and it’s AMAZING. Can’t wait for everyone to see it! (Soon! Maybe 2 days!)
After that, Mira and I did a kettlebell workout. I did have some back pain (have a long history of back injury/pain, which hasn’t bothered me for a while), but pushed through as it wasn’t sharp and didn’t worsen. I did 300 kettlebell swings (24kg/53lbs) in 30 minutes, with the time in-between sets spent on the rebounder. I think I’ve gotta’ tighten up my form a little bit, so I might do a session with a local kettlebell trainer named Rhonda Fuller. You’ll get to know her soon, because I’m going to film kettlebell training videos for the site with her! We’re having lunch tomorrow to work out the details! (I love my job)
After kettlebells, we walked Marley then had dinner. Mine was mussels and sauteed chard over rice. Also included in the recipe was fish broth, fish sauce, garlic, lemon, and a little butter (or ghee). Mussels are delicious! I also had a kiwi for “dessert”. We’re about to go to yoga class (“relax and restore” or yin) – so will finish it up when we get back. (Real quick, because that’s close to after my screen time!)

8:47am (next day) – It was too late when we got back (after 8:30pm) and I didn’t want to come on the computer then! Yoga was great. Tons of hip openers and neck/shoulder work, plus some excellent meditative relaxation. A perfect balance to the intense kettlebell workout earlier. Tierney was the instructor – for those of you who are Primal90/Premium members, she’s got a couple recorded yoga routines in Module 3 of the Primal90 program, and I’ll be filming much more with her soon!
I planned out my day, took a shower (with a couple minutes of cold at the end), fed the animals, sprayed myself up with topical magnesium, wrote in my journal, drank our nightly magnesium, and took my nightly lactoferrin (effort to lower iron) before bed.
We were in bed by 9:30 or 9:45 and up this morning at 6:30 – good night’s sleep!
Day 29 – Success!
