Day 38. Wednesday, January 13th.
Finally, I’m writing today’s post… today! Well… tonight. It’s actually past my night deadline. (I’m in trouble) As I mentioned in yesterday’s post – things get crazy when I’m trying to cram in between extended time off/breaks. I know this isn’t optimal (it’s 9:40pm right now)… but I’m not going to beat myself up about it, and I’m also not going to fail in my goal of daily posts!
This morning, I did the abbreviated (60 minutes) morning routine, which was actually closer to 50 minutes today. After that, I did about an hour of work. Mira worked later than normal (11am), which usually screws up my mornings/schedule, but I was able to stay on track today. (way to go, me!)
Just before I was going to take a break to make her breakfast/lunch for the work day, I got a call from a colleague. (Not going to name names)
I met her in Boulder in October at Dr. Izabella Wentz’s Thyroid Mastermind Event (which was awesome). She’d started taking Megaspore in December and just returned from an 8-day trip in New Orleans. She explained to me that she generally had severe reactions to gluten, dairy, onions, and garlic (all staples in New Orleans cuisine). About 2 days into her trip, she decided to say “screw it” and indulge in some of the best food in the world. (#1 in my experience/travels)
Well, after 8 days of eating a TON of foods she generally wouldn’t have been able to handle, her reactions were totally minimal and she was able to enjoy herself without feeling terrible. What exciting news! She also told me of positive results for her partner and a couple other people she knows in the last few months. I never get sick of hearing these stories from people – which we’ve now heard hundreds of times in the last 9+ months!
(Learn more about my experience with Megaspore Biotic here)
From there, I moved on to preparing Mira for work. (Breakfast/lunch, etc…) I also had a little lunch myself after she left. This consisted of sauteed spinach greens, raw grass-fed ground beef (yes, really… I love it and eat it about 3-4x/month), and homemade horseradish/jalapeno sauerkraut.

Note: I’m not making a blanket recommendation to consume raw meat. I know the farmer I get this meat from, it’s grass-fed, pastured, hormone/antibiotic free, and about as fresh as it gets. I wouldn’t eat conventionally-raised beef raw if you paid me.
After lunch, I took Marley for a walk and then had the pleasure of recording an interview with microbiologist Kiran Krishnan. You may know Kiran from our Microbiome Series Webinars. He’s one of the formulators of Megaspore, and a very valued Rebel Health Tribe contributor!
The topic of today’s interview is secret at the moment, but I can say it was AWESOME and we’ll be making a pretty big announcement soon. I couldn’t be more excited about it, and I’m looking forward to sharing with our audience!
I love my job.
After the interview, I started writing a ton of these posts to get caught up. I believe this is my 4th one of the day. It does get overwhelming at times, when I let myself get behind, but I’m going to maintain a positive mindset about it, and express my gratitude that I have such a great audience of people to share my journey with.
Thank you for providing accountability for me!
After some more work, I had a dinner consisting of leftover Thai shrimp stir fry from last night. (Shrimp, bell peppers, Bok Choi, onions, Thai chili sauce) There isn’t a picture because my phone died and I lost my charger in Death Valley (I think). Mira has her’s at work… so I’m out of luck with the pictures. (Sorry! It was beautiful and delicious)
Now (almost 10pm) it’s time to feed the pets, do the dishes, clean up, take Marley out, and hopefully be ready for bed when Mira gets home at 11.
I didn’t work out today, or go to yoga. I’m going to bed later than I should. I’m on the computer later than I should be.
But…
I got a lot of work done. I learned a TON of awesome stuff from Kiran and have some really exciting stuff going on with that. I ate 100% nutritious and delicious foods. I took a couple breaks through the day to hang out with Marley, relax, get outside. I got invited to a rather exclusive fancy gathering in San Diego next month (good connections/networking!). I heard great stories of amazing Megaspore results. I helped Mira and made her day easier. And I had an awesome impromptu business meeting with Joe and Carl. (After the interview – was so excited I demanded a meeting!)
Some days will be close to “perfect”, others won’t be. That’s okay. Tomorrow is a new day.
I’m caught up on these posts, which is huge. Tomorrow is going to be packed, as it’s Mira’s only day off until Monday. We’re going to try and get blood tests done (my goal is to not pass out), run a few errands, and I’ve got a meeting in the afternoon with Danielle – an excellent yoga instructor that is going to be in town from LA. (going to be part of Rebel Health Yoga! – coming soon!) On top of cramming away work… but leaving time for life, and yoga tomorrow night!
Adios for now!]]>
