Day 1: Choosing to Love Myself and Own My Life
Day 9 started out as a lazy day, and that’s okay!
Mira was flying out around 10:30 in the morning to go see her family in the SF Bay Area, so I decided to just lay around, relax, and spend time with her before she left. (Despite her insistence I do the morning routine – Thank you for trying!)

I prepped her a fancy little breakfast “buffet”, which she really enjoys. This time, it consisted of smoked salmon, duck liver pate on cucumber, avocado with wasabi salt, horseradish jalapeno sauerkraut, and persimmon!
After dropping Mira off at the airport, I got back in time to do a quick Headspace meditation and walk with Marley before our AWESOME webinar with Sara Eye – a good friend, and amazing colleague of mine. We covered the mental, emotional, spiritual and relationship/sexual challenges around pregnancy and birth – as part of our Healthy Babies series!
An extra cool tidbit of info here, is that Sara was literally ready to go into labor any minute while we were doing the webinar! That’s dedication and real-life experience if I don’t say so myself! Primal90 Members may recognize Sara from some of the Action Steps Videos throughout the program. She’s fantastic!

Lunch![/caption]
After the webinar, which ran a little long (totally okay), I had my first real meal of the day. This was some Italian Meatball Chili, a Mixed Greens Salad, and some Sweet Spiced Fried Plantains! So good. (Plantains are one of my favorite foods, if I haven’t stated that enough yet.)
With Mira being gone, and Michael (my son) coming into town on Sunday, I’m trying to get as much done this week as possible – so my afternoon consisted of a fun client consult, a ton of email sending, occasional breaks to take the dog out, do a little Heartmath, or bounce on my cloud (Bellicon rebounder).
Overall – it was a very productive day. At the end of the day, I mapped out the rest of the week the best I could, so hopefully that leads to big-time productivity!
Last, but definitely not least, I decided to get out our kettlebells and see if I was capable of swinging them without pain. It worked! I can do it! I enjoy working out with kettlebells, and haven’t been able to use them, box, or lift (upper body) weights for a while now due to my injured shoulder.
While I’ll be limited in the movements I can do, at least I can do some without pain! Great news, and very exciting! I’ve already designed a workout that I’ll be doing for the first time on Thursday (Day 11) – so keep an eye out for that!

Dinner![/caption]
After closing down shop for the day, I heated up some of the grilled Ling Cod from Sunday and had that over some of the beef fried rice. I also had a full glass of green smoothie/juice from a local farmer’s market company. I tend to drink it a few times/week to supplement my intake of greens/green veggies! It’s good! (Thanks to Dr. Sachin Patel for the super cool Living Proof Institute glass!)
