Yes, for $650 I would try the poop pills, and PRAY that they are for rectal use. If I had to swallow them, I would PRAY that I could keep them down!! That’s my 2 cents!
Yikes, hadn’t thought about them not staying down. I’m going to go back to not thinking about that. :/
Absolutely!! Consider the antibiotic free options: nasogastric fecal transplant or colonoscopy fecal transplant or 30 poocaps. Having had cdiff a number of times, and Nasogastric transplants……(gag! Not fun!) I think dried poocaps sound like a breeze but I think 30 would not be sufficient.
Yes, I would think pills would be easier than the Nasogastric route. 30 pills cured 70% of cases while a follow up dose to the same group resulted in 94% cured. So I’d say you’re right, for a lot of people, one dose of 30 wasn’t enough.
Silly – I had high levels of C diff from years of antibiotic use and a couple of months of saccharomyces boulardii normalized it. Not very expensive.

After years of tinkering, I have designed a meal regimen for myself that produces perfect #4 poop on the Bristol Stool Chart attend the lieu with my trusty Squatty Potty! I plan to donate to Open Biome if they ever begin accepting donors from other regions beyond the Northeast. In the meantime, I’m happy to sell direct to anyone with an adventurous palate!
