almost donated blood, but bureaucracy/paperwork got in the way. So that will be priority #1 upon my return. I did get a bunch of labs run and sent off to my team of wizards, so I’ll tackle that more when I return. My scalp/yeast issues are about 85% better – won’t get to 100% until I get my iron under control. I’m almost SCUBA certified (need to do open water dives in Nicaragua). And finally, so much has happened with Rebel Health Tribe that I can’t even begin to list it all. I reached new levels of productivity, and took a stronger leadership role on our team. (Thanks for the confidence, James Butler!) I did over 25 video meetings with our contributors, collaborators, and partners. We’ve added at least 20 new companies to our discount club (Thanks, Jessica!). The website has become even more awesome (Thanks, Carl!). We’re about to launch availability of two new amazing products (Thanks, Kiran!). We’ll soon be offering small group coaching (Thanks, Joe!), and launching our incredibly awesome podcast! (Thanks, Joe!) We’ve recorded around 15 episodes of that, and you’re gonna’ love it! The best part? Aside from a few ultra chaotic days in the last week, I was able to maintain balance, take care of myself (for the most part), eat well, move (even if just doing kettlebell swings in between meetings and walking the dog), spend quality time with Mira, get adequate sleep, and not get frustrated or down on myself when things got a little crazy. I feel like I’m in the best mental/emotional place I’ve ever been in, and aside from being a touch nervous about walking away from the business for two weeks, I’m ready for an absolutely amazing two weeks in Nicaragua with my amazing partner and bride. (Thank you, Mira, for supporting me so much the last few months. I never could have made it to here without you. I love you. Let’s go play in Nica for two weeks!) A little about our trip:
- 3 Nights in Granada. This city features a lot of old Spanish colonial-era architecture, beautiful cathedrals and art, as well as excursions to kayak among small islands, hike lush jungle and volcanoes, and much more! And food. My goal is to eat so many plantains that I become sick of plantains! (Not sure it’s possible!)
- 3 Nights on Ometepe Island. This place is crazy beautiful, and while there we’re going to hike one of the two volcanoe

Ometepe[/caption] s on the island. Not sure what we’re doing the rest of the time, but plenty of exploring will be had!
- 6 Nights on Little Corn Island. Here we’ll complete my SCUBA training, do a bunch more diving (Hammerhead sharks!), relax on the beach, and enjoy spending time on an island with NO cars where the electricity doesn’t turn on until the late afternoon! One can walk across the island in 8 minutes. Way out into the Caribbean. (My heart lives in the Caribbean)
- Final night back in Managua for our flight the next day. Not a ton to do here, but I’m sure we’ll find something tasty to eat and some cool spots to explore.
