About our Guest

I often get asked: “Why did you become a Holistic Health Professional?.” My answer to this is “Simple, I take the practices of health that I know and share them with others. If what I feel to be true changes, then I share that as well.”

Okay, my background is a little more complex than that so let’s rewind a bit. Growing up my parents and grandparents always had a big garden. I never thought much of it at the time and just thought that was what everybody did and was just part of being healthy. In the garden my grandfather grew his coveted garlic. This was something that could cure anybody, anytime, anywhere of anything. Garlic still works wonders, but my picture of health has evolved over the years from just take garlic and you’ll be good or the often quoted “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

As I was growing up I was also very active playing football, basketball and soccer. It was soccer that got me into running. I did it a lot. Just long (slower) runs that I thought would be great for me and keep me in shape with a few sets of sit ups. This did okay for a while as I thought it was great for me and then came my set of weights that I got in middle school. I would spend hours in my parents’ basement with a T.V. that only had 3 channels and just pump iron endlessly.
